Fifth batch of relief goods dispatched to Gaza

Pakistan has dispatched the fifth batch of relief goods and materials to the war-torn Gaza Strip, announced the Foreign Ministry on Monday.

The consignment consists of warm tents, blankets, surgical and medical supplies, dry food items, and medical kits. The supplies will be transported by a C-130 aircraft to Al Arish, Egypt, where they will be received by the Pakistani ambassador and then delivered to their ultimate destination.

At the departure ceremony at Noor Khan airbase, officers from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), representatives of the armed forces, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present.

Additionally, the NDMA has put together a sixth shipment of relief supplies, which is expected to leave Karachi by February 6. It reportedly comprises 100 tons of medical and other food supplies for the people of Gaza.

Pakistan has so far transferred almost 230 tons of humanitarian aid for the war victims of Gaza.
