PM Modi to inaugurate first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi on Feb 14

ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi on February 14 during his two-day visit to the Emirates.

According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, this will be his seventh visit since he assumed office and his third in the last eight months, and this is also his official two-day visit to the kingdom.

Furthermore, on the first day of his visit, he will address the Indian community in Sheikh Zayed Sports City after which he will inaugurate the BAPS Hindu temple in the UAE capital.

He will also meet the UAE president, Sheikh Zayed Bin Nahyan. According to the ministry, both the leaders will discuss things and problems of mutual interest and also find ways to further extend and deepen the two nations’ strategic ties.

PM Modi will also meet with Sheikh Rashid Al-Makhtum, the vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai.

At the World Government Summit 2024 on February 15, Sheikh Rashid had especially invited Modi as the guest of honor, and the Indian prime minister will also give a special speech on this occasion.

BAPS temple representatives Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas had invited PM Modi to the inauguration of the first Hindu temple in the UAE capital.
