6 Pakistan soldiers martyred in landmine attack in North Waziristan: ISPR
Six Pakistan Army personnel, including a captain, embraced martyrdom in a landmine blast in North Waziristan, a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued on Thursday stated.
As per ISPR, the blast occurred in a landmine near Rizmik. It stated that those who embraced martyrdom were identified as 24-year-old Captain Umar Farooq, Naib Subedar Younus Khan, Naib Subedar Riaz Ahmed, Naib Subedar Shakeel Azad, Naik Muhammad Nadeem and Lance Naik Asmatullah.
On October 14, a soldier was martyred after terrorists from across the Afghan border opened fire on a Pakistan Army post of security forces in Bajaur tribal district.
In a tweet, Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said due to the firing, Havaldar Tanveer embraced martyrdom while one soldier was injured.
