Punjab CM approves to fix minimum price of sugarcane at Rs200 per maund
LAHORE – The Punjab government has fixed the minimum price of sugarcane at Rs200 per 40kg, the Punjab Chief Minister has approved to set the minimum price of sugarcane.
According to details, the meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar approved important decisions. The Chief Minister also approved to fix a minimum price of sugar cane at Rs200 per 40kg. In this regard, the Punjab Chief Minister directed that the minimum price would be strictly implemented, a complete mechanism would be set up, the ministers would monitor in different districts and ensure the minimum price.
The Chief Minister also gave in-principle approval for the sugarcane crushing season. The sugarcane crushing season will start from November 10 in South Punjab and November 15 in the rest of Punjab. Final approval will be sought from the Punjab Cabinet regarding the sugarcane crushing season.
