Pakistan reports 1,303 coronavirus cases, 76 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE  – Pakistan has reported 76 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 937,434. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,529 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,303 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,436 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,183 in Sindh, 4,185 in KP, 768 in Islamabad, 559 in Azad Kashmir, 291 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 343,252 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 325,738 in Sindh, 135,162 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,933 in Islamabad, 26,052 in Balochistan, 19,623 in Azad Kashmir and 5,674 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 13,705,490 coronavirus tests and 41,824 in the last 24 hours. 871,669 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,967 patients are in critical condition.
