ISLAMABAD (PEN): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s commitment to deepening the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and emphasized China’s importance in Pakistani foreign policy. Talking to a Chinese delegation led by China’s External Security Commissioner Cheng Guoping in Islamabad, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reaffirmed his government’s commitment to expediting both ongoing and new CPEC projects. He stated that CPEC has made a significant contribution to Pakistan’s socio-economic development as well as its high-quality development. The Prime Minister also stated his determination to collaborate with China with renewed fervor and excitement, particularly on programs of strategic importance to both countries, such as the ML-1 project. Pakistan’s measures were praised by Cheng Guoping.
