ISLAMABAD : According to a media report, the new Gwadar International Airport, situated in the Gurandani area of Balochistan’s Gwadar district, has been declared safe and fully operational by the Civil Aviation Authority. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is anticipated to inaugurate the airport on March 23, coinciding with Pakistan Day. The airport’s construction, which cost $230 million, was financed through a Chinese government grant under the CPEC project.
