APC flimsy attempt to pressurize govt to back off on accountability, says Faraz
Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said that the joint opposition’s All Parties Conference (APC) is a flimsy attempt to put pressure on the government to back off on accountability.
In a tweet on Sunday soon after opposition leaders addressed the APC, Faraz stated: “Nation has witnessed that opposition has used politics for personal gains & used parliament to protect their personal empires.”
He added that prime minister will never compromise his commitment on corruption and will not give NRO.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill said opposition leaders are allowed to organise APCs as many as they want, however, NRO will not be given to the corruption elements.
Shahbaz Gill said that the accountability process will continue against corruption persons and such elements will be taken to task by Prime Minister Imran Khan. He pointed out the huddle of the opposition parties as nexus of corrupt elites which brought Sharif family closer to the Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
