BEIJING : China has expressed its welcome to quality agricultural products from Pakistan and is committed to enhancing bilateral trade through land transportation. This comes after Pakistan’s first-ever seafood cargo container arrived in Kashgar city through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), marking a milestone in the transportation of Pakistani seafood to China. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said in the press briefing that both countries are actively collaborating to increase the export of Pakistani seafood and agricultural products through the Karakoram Highway, aiming to tap into China’s vast consumer market. He further added that the use of road transport offers cost advantages, simpler customs procedures, and shorter delivery times compared to air and sea transport.
